Sliding Scale
A Sliding Fee Scale is an arrangement for services at a reduced fee for clients who are not able to afford the full fee. I currently have a few spots available for clients experiencing financial hardship, to offer services at a discounted rate. Please feel free to reach out and ask or mention it during our consultation.
Insurance
Currently I do not participate with any insurance panels and are considered an out-of-network provider. This allows me to be the most flexible with your treatment and as confidential as possible. I can provide you with a superbill at the end of each month for you to submit to your insurance in the case they are able to reimburse you for it. Insurance companies dictate things like length of treatment and sessions, and require that you are diagnosed with a mental health disorder for therapy to be paid for. This diagnosis remains permanently on your health record. Insurance companies also have the right to audit your therapy files & notes, and ask questions of your therapist about your treatment. These are among some of the reasons why I have chosen to not accept insurance at this time.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?STANDARD NOTICE You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
